A LITTLE ABOUT MRS. DUNN:
Here is just a little about me... I love FACS!!! I have been teaching for 14 years. My first job was at Joel P Jensen Middle school. I taught there for 6 years. I then moved to Elk Ridge Middle and taught there for 2 years. I've taught Teen Living, Child Development, Foods and Nutrition 1, FACS Exploration Foods, CTE Intro FACS and CTE Intro Careers, as well as YIC and ESL classes. I was also the student government (SBO) adviser. I am now teaching here at Bingham the Early Childhood Pathway classes: Child Development, ECE 1 curriculum and ECE 2/3 preschool lab and I oversee the childcare (ECE 3). I am also the head advisor for FCCLA and I love being involved!!!
MY EDUCATION: I graduated with a bachelors degree in Family and Consumer Sciences in 2006 from Utah State University. I started teaching at Joel P Jensen in 2006. In the Fall of 2008, I decided I would go back to school to get my ESL endorsement. As I was taking classes at night for the endorsement, I decided I want to get my masters degree as well. I started my masters degree program in the Spring of 2008 through Southern Utah University and graduated with my Masters of Education in Summer of 2009. I love learning and am always continuing to broaden and expand my education. Every summer I attend professional training in FACS, as well as throughout the school year.
MORE ABOUT ME:
I grew up here in Utah. I went to Hillcrest High School. I was involved in student government and a whole bunch of different clubs. I also played basketball, volleyball and softball. I am now married and have two children, a boy and a girl.
I come from a family of 5 kids. I am the youngest child. I have 11 nieces and nephews whom I love to pieces.
I love, love, love to travel! Most summers I spend my time traveling.
I love amusement parks (which I normally travel to) and water-parks, I am definitely still a kid at heart.
I love to read LOTS of books in the summer time while lounging around at the pool or in a park on a blanket.
I enjoy going on hikes up in the beautiful mountains and having campfires at night. I love to spend time with my family doing all these activities!
I enjoy having fun at work: In my earlier years of teaching at Joel P Jensen we, as teachers, would always do something for the Sub 4 Santa Assembly... here's a few videos :)
